Asphalt Mixer Cleaning

Thermal efficiency, uniform mixing and continuous operation guaranteed.
At Alpha Silo Cleaning INC, we know that asphalt mixers play a critical role in the production of quality asphalt mixes. Over time, hot asphalt begins to adhere to the mixer’s internal walls, paddles, shafts and metal surfaces, affecting the mixing process, thermal performance and accuracy of material proportions.
Our Asphalt Mixer Deep Cleaning Service is designed to remove all hardened residues, restoring the mechanical and thermal balance of the equipment, and allowing the final mix to meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
Importance of Regularly Cleaning Asphalt Mixers
Internal accumulations of hardened asphalt may seem harmless at first, but over time they can have serious consequences on production, including:
- Partial obstruction of the mixing system, reducing the real capacity of the equipment.
- Loss of homogeneity in the final product, affecting the quality of the asphalt produced.
- Increase in energy consumption, since the heating elements must work harder to maintain the right temperature.
- Premature wear of components such as vanes and rotating shafts.
- Increased likelihood of contamination between batches, due to old residues not removed
Regular technical cleaning extends the life of the mixer, improves process efficiency and ensures consistent quality asphalt in every production run.
Cleaning of Asphalt Mixers
Our process is designed to be safe, technical and efficient, adjusted to the particularities of each mixer and without affecting the delicate systems of the equipment. Our process:
1 - Inspection and diagnosis of the mixer.
We evaluate the degree of residue accumulation, access, thermal conditions and general condition of the mixing system.
2 - Preparation of the work area.
The equipment is deactivated, allowed to cool and the environment is secured following industrial safety protocols, especially for handling in hot or confined spaces.
3 - Controlled mechanical removal.
We use high temperature resistant tools such as pneumatic hammers, industrial scrapers and impact tools to remove hardened asphalt without damaging metal surfaces or mixer blades.
4 - Internal cleaning and debris removal.
We remove all loose material, thoroughly clean the inside of the equipment and check the condition of the moving components to ensure their free operation.
5- Final inspection and delivery of technical report.
We verify the functionality of the system, document the process with visual evidence (before and after) and offer preventive maintenance recommendations according to the volume and frequency of use of the equipment.
